The Canadian Craft Federation has designated 2015 as the Year of the Craft. We want to celebrate it with all BC and Yukon textile artists and crafters.
Looking to the land, re-using materials and adapting technologies to serve the innovative and creative spirit is what working in textiles has always represented.
Join us for two days in September to immerse yourself in the passion to create, learn and network.
Keynote Speakers
We are excited to announce our keynote speakers are Janet Lee From Trash to Fashion and Veronika Irvine.
Presentations
One hour lecture type sessions with time for Q&A from Trish Graham, Janet Harper, Ruth Jones, Dalia Levy, Bettina Matzkuhn, Ruth Scheuing and Michelle Sirois-Silver.
Demonstrations
1-2 hour sessions that includes techniques, new product demonstration of new products with the focus on sustainability, recycling and upcycling. Demonstrations by Susan Purney Mark, Jay Rudolph, Izabela Sauer, Laurie Steffler and how to Recycle Your Stash with a Gelli Arts Plate®.
Digital Poster Sessions
Short 10 minute sessions where artists share and answer questions on their techniques or approach to creating their artwork. Sessions with Clotho Prints, Nadine Flagel and Catherine Thomson.
